The Kingsbridge Sings choir social will be on Saturday, 26 July at 12noon-3 pm at Chillington Village Hall.
There is parking at the hall, but please car share if possible, as there are only about fifteen places. The 11.15 bus from Kingsbridge would get you there at 11.32 (there will be someone at the hall from 11am setting up) or the 12.15 gets there at 12.32. Return buses at 14.11, 15.11 and 16.11.
This is an opportunity to celebrate our second season, to catch up with friends we have made and to get to know others in the choir.
The hall has a nice outdoor space, so good weather has been ordered (and in case that order doesn’t get through, we can always retreat inside!)
The plan is to have a picnic – so bring your own picnic food and drink, plus your chairs to sit outside.
Partners and children are welcome. If you have young children, please note that you will need to keep an eye on them. There is a playground.
We will provide tea/coffee/milk/oat milk in the kitchen. Let Deborah Kingsland (alto) know if you have any specific requirements.
If you would like to provide a cake, please talk to Pat Moore (alto). They will also be available in the hall.
There will be a talent show from 1:00-2:00 pm, where members of the choir will showcase their talents in 5-minute slots. If you would like to be on the list (about 10-12 spaces) speak to me, Alison Theaker (alto- bit of a theme here!). There will be an amp and a microphone if you need them. It’s a friendly audience!
If you would like to try belly dance, I would like 5 women to dance with me at the showcase. We will learn a fun choreography (probably on those Mondays we are not in choir) to perform on the day. Please let me know if you would like to be part of the Zukrettes by emailing Alison Theaker at alison_theaker@hotmail.com.
Thanks Alison sounds great.
